STAC Team Shuts Down Major Drug Trafficking Ring Print E-mail

On August 30, 2007, STAC Team agents concluded a six month investigation into Maurice Russell and the Trafficking of Cocaine. On this date, Russell was arrested on University Drive in Huntsville with over 6 kilograms of cocaine HCL. Search warrants were executed at 2706 Warrior Street, 2501 Oakwood Avenue #5 (G’s Country Kitchen), and 305 Sunny Dell Road all in Huntsville, Alabama.

Maurice Russell, age 45, of Warrior Street was charged with Trafficking in Cocaine. He was booked into the Madison County Metro Jail with a bond of $1.5 million dollars. His wife, Greta Hampton Russell, 42-years-old was also charged with Trafficking in Cocaine with a bond set at $200,000. Jimmy Fletcher, age 32, of 2810 Barber Drive is charged with Possession of Marijuana. His bond was set at $500.00.
