Two active meth labs found in New Hope home Print E-mail

(WAFF) - Investigators shut down two meth labs this afternoon. Both were found in one new hope home.

Police have one man in custody, 52-year-old Ray Allen Miller, Jr. He''s facing charges of manufacturing methamphetamine.

Only WAFF 48 News cameras were there as Miller was taken into police custody at his home on New Hope Cedar Point Road.

Investigators from New Hope, Owens Crossroads, and the Madison County Sheriff''s Department found two working one pot meth labs on the property.

There was one inside the home and one in a detached garage. Police also confiscated a stash of weapons, including several long guns and a sword.

Officers initially came to the home to serve warrants to another man, who was not there.

"The subject we''re looking for and everything is also a known user, dealer, and that''s part of the reason why our information led us here," said Owens Crossroads Police Chief David Martin. "Because he was supposed to be involved with this subject also, in manufacturing, selling, using, dealing."
