Five Locations Searched - Five Arrested Print E-mail
On Tuesday, May 11, 2010, STAC concluded an investigation into a local Drug Trafficking Organization with the execution of search warrants at the following locations:
 
141 Wilkenson Drive in Huntsville
6303 Sandia Boulevard in Huntsville
430 Edgemont Drive in Huntsville
2428 Medaris Road in Huntsville
128 Clover Ridge in Madison
 
A total of 15 pounds of marijuana, a small amount of “crack” cocaine, $13,000 in cash, one handgun, and 2 vehicles were seized as a result of these searches.
 
The following individuals were arrested, which led to the dismantling of this Drug Trafficking Organization:

All five were booked into the Madison County Jail.
 
Huntsville Man Arrested at Storage Facility Print E-mail
On Sunday, May 9th, 2010, at approximately 11:00 p.m., an HPD Officer noticed a vehicle parked outside of a storage unit at 11607 South Memorial Parkway.  The officer pulled in to check the vehicle and found the driver to be in possession of a large knife and a small amount of marijuana.  The officers could also smell an odor of marijuana coming from the storage unit.  The Madison-Morgan County Strategic Counterdrug Team (STAC) was notified and responded to the scene. 

A subsequent investigation and search warrant execution of the storage unit led to the seizure of 7.2 pounds of hydroponic marijuana valued at $4000 per pound, 1.2 pounds of Psilocybin Mushrooms valued at $4000 per pound, one handgun, two shotguns, and $2370.00 in cash.  Jesse Austin Smith, 22, of Huntsville was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Carrying a Pistol without a Permit.
 
Agents Seize Cash, Cocaine and Marijuana in N. Huntsville Print E-mail

On Monday, March 15, 2010, STAC Agents concluded a lengthy investigation of a drug trafficking organization with the execution of search warrants at 6102 Trent Drive and 2210 Euclid Road.  Agents seized more than $36,000.00 in cash, approximately an eight of a kilo of cocaine, and several ounces of marijuana.  The following people were arrested:

Charged with Trafficking Cocaine

Richard Aaron Williams
19 years old
Huntsville, Alabama
Charged with Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree

Latoya Lashell Rucker
26 years old
Huntsville, Alabama
Charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Chemical Endangerment of a Child

All three were booked into the Metro Jail.
 

 
3717 Williamsburg Lane Print E-mail

The Madison-Morgan STAC Team concluded an investigation with the execution of a search warrant at 3717 Williamsburg Lane on Thursday, February 25th at approximately 8 p.m.  The search warrant resulted in the seizure of approximately 20 pounds of marijuana, $5000.00, an SKS assault rifle, a handgun, and one vehicle. The following subjects were arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana:

35 years old

Both offenders were booked into the Metro Jail.

 
Busy Night as STAC Team Serves Search Warrants Print E-mail

Madison County - New Market
On Thursday, January 28th the Madison-Morgan STAC Team executed several search warrants within both the City of Huntsville and Madison County.
At approximately 9 p.m., search warrants were executed at 230 Smokey Hills Court and 293 Ravens Crest Drive in the New Market area of Madison County.

Approximately one pound of marijuana and 50 ecstasy pills were seized along with 4 guns.

These search warrants were the result of several months of surveillance and undercover purchases by drug agents.

The following two subjects were also arrested:

Charged with Distribution of Cocaine, Distribution of Marijuana, and Distribution of a Controlled Substance
Anetral Lashone Buckles
Age 33
Charged with Possession of Marijuana 1st and Possession of a Controlled Substance


Huntsville - Glen Park Drive
At approximately 11 p.m., a search warrant was executed at 3418-A Glen Park Drive.
The investigation that led to this search warrant was based on complaints by citizens in the area.
This address has been a continuous problem in regard to street level crack cocaine sales andt he STAC Team has executed four search warrants in this area over the previous year.

This search warrant resulted in the seizure of approximately 15 grams of crack cocaine and approximately $700 in cash.
