August, 18, STAC Agents arrested Decatur resident, Ronnie Boyd Aldridge, of 1st Avenue SW. Aldridge was found to has in his possession approx. 5 ounces of cocaine. A search of his residence recovered another 22 ounces of cocaine/crack cocaine, marijuana, over 500 Ecstasy tablets, a handgun and over $7500 cash.
Aldridge was placed in the Morgan County jail for Trafficking in Cocaine and other charges. |

STAC Team agents concluded a six month long investigation of a east Limestone County man charging him with trafficking in cocaine.
Alphonso Brontay Benford, 32, was arrested at his home on Oak Crest Drive by STAC agents working with the Limestone Sheriff's Office narcotic unit and the ATF. A search of Benford's home was conducted. There, agents found approximately $294,000 in cash. Also seized were six vehicles and eight handguns.
Copies of Benford’s CD, titled “Dope Boy Fresh,” also were confiscated. The same Louis Vuitton bag, full of cash, which was pictured on the front of Benford’s CD, was seized during the bust, said Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely.
Benford was brought back to the Madison County Jail and is being held with a bond totaling 4.5 million dollars. Benford is charged with three counts of trafficking in cocaine that occurred in the Huntsville area.
The handguns will be turned over to ATF for follow-up investigation.

On Monday, April 14th, highway interdiction Agents of the Madison-Morgan County Strategic Counter Drug Team (STAC) arrested two men and confiscated 15 kilos of cocaine worth an estimated street value of $2,000,000. Commander Gerry Norris said Agents conducted a traffic stop of an eighteen-wheeler north bound on I-65 near Priceville. Agents conducted a routine commercial vehicle safety inspection which led them to believe the truck was carrying contraband. A drug sniffing dog alerted on the drugs. |

On Wednesday March 26th, STAC Team agents conducted an investigation based on citizens complaints about possible drug activity at 4616 Daugette Drive in NW Huntsville. Sgt. Gerry Norris said Agents made contact with individuals living at the home, which led to them obtaining search warrants. |
